Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.
When I was 21, I packed my bags and went from a small town in Jersey to San Francisco. I was only there for about 4 months, but I had never been there before. I knew no one and nothing about the area. I applied for a scholarship in textile design at the University of Art and was granted a 75% paid summer term. I was at such a weird spot in life and looking back now I feel like I was so young. I basically knew nothing of the world besides highschool and the weirdness that comes after, including good old community college and best friends that stayed behind. I met some amazing people. I made a smorgasbord of friends and had an instructor who once dated Alexander McQueen (at least they said so). I got to really immerse myself through art in ways I hadn’t yet. We road tripped to Las Vegas (another first) and experienced the terrible heat at 2 am that feels like car exhaust on your face. We frequented this Irish pub that seemed to always play Sweet Caroline and it just so happened that my roommate’s name was also Caroline. I can remember us all screaming it in a horrible yet unified bellow from around the bar. It was pure unexpected fun. Uncalculated decisions that ended in no regrets. I just was.
