Not writing about candy

What’s your favorite candy?

And I don’t think I have a favorite candy in my life right now anyway. Sugar makes my teeth hurt. I know it’s strange.

I had a thought.

What if once we get to 46 years old, we start to listen more to the younger generation? I’m talking 20s/30s. If we are successful in showing the younger generation how not to do dumb shit, like we did growing up, then…who am I kidding . I may be biased in thinking about this possibility because I have kids, and my oldest is about to turn 18! But the last 6 years have been full of trauma that just kept coming at us.  And I spent a lot of time working on myself these last few years.  Learning how to deal with everything and  process it. And I’ve had one too many times where I thought to myself “why didn’t anyone tell me about this?”. And the younger generation is way more aware of themselves. Aware of the world and what’s happening in it. Aware of their mental health. And thanks to our failures they will have learned how to navigate bad situations. Maybe. And we learn from the gained experience because they have been dealing and processing all their lives. Or I’m just thinking nonsense.
