What were your parents doing at your age?

They sold the house we grew up in, and moved to Connecticut from New Jersey. Three kids. 19,17,13

I (19) stayed  in NJ, at an apartment that was above my grandparents house. It had this huge set of wood steps on the outside of the house and when it was cold they would freeze with ice.

I wonder what my parents were thinking about all the hype surrounding Y2K. I know as a 19 year old, I wasn’t too concerned but wondered what would happen if the computers all “went back to zero”. Or reset. I’ll have to remember to ask them what they thought. 

My parents aren’t that far in front of me for timing around  that age.  My kids are 17,13,and 8. And my oldest started college this year.

My mom was a nurse and my dad an engineer. They stayed in their field in some capacity until retirement.

I definitely feel old at 46, but looking back to my parents being 46, I don’t see them as old. Weird.
