Do you believe in karma?

But then I sort of had a kind of “spiritual” awakening.

And, I realized that when people usually say “oh, karma will get them” or that “everything happens for a reason,” it is often just a coping mechanism.

It is rather comforting to believe the universe has a fair system, because facing the reality—that life is deeply unfair and random—is terrifying.

But I have a hard time convincing myself of these things when I feel like I know being alive is not based around an unlimited amount of time.

And, I started to notice that relying on some other force to “make it right” or release the karma, was robbing me of feeling free to make decisions based off of what makes me feel good. As a person. As a whole person.

I am alive and I experience life as it comes. For what it’s worth. Everything and nothing.
