What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?
I didn’t get braces as a teenager because my mother gave me the option. Of course, I didn’t want braces at 13 or 14. But as I got older I realized I probably should have gotten them and corrected my bite when I was younger.
Then I got it in my head that I was ready for them at 40. My son had just been diagnosed with cancer, COVID was just about to blow up, and I was newly 40 and peri menopausal. What better way to relieve some stress than doing a little shopping.
It just happened to take almost 4 years of wearing them (as an adult) and I don’t think I really thought about the pain and inconvenience that comes along with braces.
I did choose to get star shaped brackets on my front teeth. So technically that was me being spontaneous while already being spontaneous.
Who knew.
